Odins
Managed Bayesian platform That's usBest NIQ alternative for advertisers whose sales signal is their own: orders, subscriptions, applications or leads.
Odins is a managed marketing investment platform. Where NIQ's MMM is built on the retail sales data NIQ measures, Odins models the sales signal in your own systems, with one Bayesian model per market and TV, radio, OOH and print next to digital, pricing and promotions. Priors are set with your team in 2 to 3 working sessions. Data flows in daily and scenarios and forecasts are yours to run any time; the model is retrained monthly, and a person reviews every recommendation before you see it. Disclosure: this is our platform.

Four reasons to look for an NIQ MMM alternative.
NIQ links media to store-level sales it measures itself, in 75 or more countries, and for a consumer goods brand selling through retail it belongs on the shortlist. These are the situations where another option fits better.
- Your sales run through your own channels, so your own systems hold the sales signal
- You want a recommendation every month, reviewed by a person, with the model open to inspect
- You want to run scenarios and forecasts yourself any time, without waiting on a consultant
- You sell in markets where one national weekly series makes priors decisive
Your data, one model per market.
Odins runs the data, the model and the recommendation as one managed service, on the sales signal you already have.
- Priors set in 2 to 3 working sessions, from your spend history, digital saturation signals and structured interviews
- TV, radio, OOH and print in the same model as digital, next to pricing and promotions
- Daily data, a monthly retrain and a recommendation reviewed by a person, with scenarios and forecasts you run any time, in the platform or from Claude via the Odins MCP
- Forecasts stored before actuals arrive, so the model's record is there to inspect
- Results from lift, geo and matched market tests taken into the model, and a structured test proposed when the model is uncertain about a channel

Frequently asked questions.
What is the best alternative to NIQ for marketing mix modeling?
It depends on where your sales data lives and who will run the model. For a managed model on your own sales signal, with offline media inside it, Odins is the alternative we would point to, and yes, it is ours. For a global commercial analytics program, look at Analytic Partners. For effectiveness, brand and creative science together, Kantar LIFT ROI. For one MMM hierarchy across many brands, Mutinex. With data scientists in-house, Google Meridian.
Is NIQ's MMM the same as Nielsen's?
No. NIQ (NielsenIQ) has been independent of Nielsen since March 2021 and launched its own MMM in October 2024. Nielsen's MMM business went to Circana in August 2025. The details are on Nielsen MMM alternatives and Odins vs Circana.
How is Odins different from NIQ?
NIQ builds MMM on the retail sales data it measures, with consultants and a scenario planning application. Odins is a managed service on your own sales signal: priors set with your team, offline media and pricing in the same model, a monthly retrain on daily data and a person reviewing every recommendation. The full comparison, with sources, is on Odins vs NIQ.
Do the alternatives include matched market testing?
Some do. Odins proposes a structured test when the model is uncertain about a channel, and takes results from tests you have run into the model. If testing is your main need, we list options on Measured alternatives.
What does an NIQ MMM alternative cost?
NIQ does not publish pricing for its MMM, and neither do most providers on this list, ours included. Odins is a subscription priced for the budget it optimizes, for companies with a marketing budget from EUR 1M to several hundred million a year, with the team included and no data science hires needed. The open-source frameworks have no license fee and cost staff time instead.
