The 10 best MMM providers in 2026.

Every list like this is written by a vendor with a stake, including this one. So we wrote the rules down first: public documentation, named sources, credit where competitors earn it, and our own entry disclosed. Ten providers, no pay-to-play.

How we chose

The rules, before the ranking.

MMM is our business, so read this list the way you would read any vendor's. These are the rules we held ourselves to.

  • Provider facts come from each vendor's own public documentation, read September 2026
  • The open-source assessments lean on Runge and Pauwels (2026), Open-Source Media and Marketing Mix Modeling, SSRN 6317979
  • Disclosure: Odins is our platform. We ranked it first, said exactly why, and told you who should not choose it
  • Nobody paid to be here, and nobody was asked to

The list

Ten providers, honestly sorted.

Sorted by how often each one is the right answer for the buyers we actually meet: Nordic and European advertisers deciding budgets. Your mileage should vary, and the best-for lines say when it will.

  1. Odins

    Managed Bayesian platform That's us

Best for Nordic and European mid-market advertisers who want MMM run for them, offline included.

Yes, this is our list, so judge this entry hardest. Odins is a managed marketing investment platform: 600 plus integrations, one Bayesian model per market with priors set together with your team, monthly human-reviewed recommendations, and forecasts stored before actuals arrive so accuracy is verifiable. Built for thin Nordic data rather than US-scale abundance.

Bayesian MMM · Fully managed · Monthly cadence How Odins works
  2. Google Meridian

    Open-source framework

Best open-source option for teams with data scientists and geo-level data.

Google's Bayesian framework, the most packaged of the open three, with the strongest budget optimizer and native geo-level modeling. You build and maintain everything yourself, and a 2026 academic review flags the default uniform priors as a misuse risk. Free license, paid for in staff and time.

Bayesian framework · Self-hosted · Your team runs it Odins vs Meridian
  3. PyMC-Marketing

    Open-source framework

Best open-source option for maximum flexibility, if you have the Bayesian skills.

The most customizable of the open frameworks and the closest to our own stack: custom priors, full hierarchies, user-defined everything. The same review estimates up to two weeks for a novice's first full run, and budget optimization requires custom code. Excellent for capable teams, demanding for everyone else.

Bayesian framework · Self-hosted · Steepest learning curve Odins vs PyMC-Marketing
  4. Meta Robyn

    Open-source framework

Best free way to get a first directional MMM inside a week.

The package that made MMM feel free, and the most automated of the three. It is frequentist rather than Bayesian, returns a set of candidate models to choose between, and Meta has stopped active development. Fine for a first look. Think twice before betting the measurement stack on it.

    Frequentist framework · Self-hosted · Community-maintained Odins vs Robyn
  5. Sellforte

    Retail measurement OS

Best for enterprise retail and ecommerce that wants daily, campaign-level optimization.

Helsinki-built causal Bayesian MMM with incrementality testing and attribution in one platform, refreshed daily down to ad-set level, plus agents that push changes into the ad platforms. Strong retail logos. The most direct alternative to Odins in the Nordics, aimed at a more operational question.

Bayesian MMM · Managed · Daily cadence Odins vs Sellforte
  6. Recast

    Advanced specialist

Best for large, mostly US advertisers with analytics teams and daily data.

A rigorous Bayesian MMM with time-varying parameters, weekly automated refreshes and out-of-sample backtesting at scale. Their public writing about MMM is worth reading whoever you buy from. Built for Fortune 500 and large DTC budgets.

Bayesian MMM · Managed platform · Weekly refresh Odins vs Recast
  7. Mutinex

    Enterprise platform

Best for multi-brand enterprises that need one MMM hierarchy across markets.

GrowthOS packages enterprise MMM as cleanly as anyone, with patent-pending campaign-varying modeling and real scale: 90 plus brands and over 13 billion dollars in spend analyzed. Run from Sydney, Melbourne and New York.

MMM platform · Managed · Always-on Odins vs Mutinex
  8. Analytic Partners

    Enterprise incumbent

Best for billion-dollar advertisers running global commercial analytics programs.

The 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader, 25 years into the category, with the ROI Genome benchmark layer and published research on halo effects few can match. Software plus consulting, scoped and priced for the largest advertisers.

Proprietary MMM · Software plus consulting · Enterprise Odins vs Analytic Partners
  9. Kantar LIFT ROI

    Enterprise incumbent

Best for global enterprises that want effectiveness, brand and creative science together.

The largest measurement company's MMM, with brand equity and creative quality folded into the analysis and the Bayesian Hamilton AI engine in the toolkit. A 2025 Gartner Visionary. An institution more than a product, at institution scale.

Mixed methods, Bayesian engine included · Platform plus consulting · Enterprise Odins vs Kantar
  10. Funnel Measure

    Data platform

Best for teams that want measurement layered on the data hub they already run.

Stockholm's marketing data hub with MMM, attribution and incrementality on top, updating daily on the platform's own data foundation. Triangulation rather than one unified model, and a natural pairing partner for a model-first platform like ours.

Triangulated MMM · Product-led · Daily updates Odins vs Funnel

Also worth knowing: Lifesight (unified measurement with an agentic layer), Dema (Nordic commerce intelligence with MMM), Triple Whale and Fospha (DTC and marketplace measurement). Each has its own comparison page in our compare hub. Provider facts from vendor documentation, read September 2026; open-source assessments per Runge and Pauwels (2026), SSRN 6317979.

How to choose

Match the provider to your data, not the demo.

Four questions sort this market faster than any feature matrix.

  • Data shape: one national weekly series needs disciplined priors; 50 US states or geo-level data lets you lean on volume
  • Team: no data scientists means a managed platform; a capable modeling team opens the frameworks
  • Mix: offline media and business drivers demand a model built for them, not retrofitted
  • Decision: daily campaign steering and yearly budget sizing are different products, whatever the category name says

Channel contribution, 80% ranges

from the posterior
Search 14 to 16% optimize
Social 9 to 13% optimize
Display 2 to 9% test first

A tight range is a decision. A wide range is a test plan, with cost boundaries.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Why is Odins first on its own list?

Because every list like this is vendor-written, and pretending otherwise would insult you. We put our name where you can judge it, disclosed the stake, and made the other nine entries as useful as we could. If you are enterprise scale, or you want open source, your best answer sits further down the list, and the best-for lines say so.

What is MMM software?

Marketing mix modeling software estimates how much each marketing channel, price change and external factor actually contributes to sales, using aggregate data rather than user tracking. It answers investment questions: how much to spend, where to allocate it, and what to expect if you change either. It works for offline channels and holds up as cookies disappear.

Open-source framework or managed platform?

A framework is an engine; a platform is the car. The 2026 academic review estimates a day to a first Robyn run, several days for Meridian, and up to two weeks for PyMC-Marketing, all after data preparation and all before anyone maintains, validates or explains the model. If you have data scientists to own that, frameworks are excellent. If not, buy the operating model, not the math alone.

How much does MMM software cost?

Open-source licenses are free and paid for in staff time: analysts, setup months and maintenance. Commercial platforms rarely publish pricing, ours included, and enterprise engagements run well beyond mid-market subscriptions. The honest anchor is the budget being optimized: measurement typically costs a low single-digit share of the media it steers, and earns it back on the first reallocation it gets right.

What data does MMM need?

Two to three years of weekly history is the comfortable norm, around 150 weeks. Managed platforms can start with less by leaning on priors. You need spend by channel, sales or another outcome variable, and the big business drivers: pricing, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes.

Does MMM replace attribution or my agency?

Neither. Attribution stays useful for daily operations, and agencies stay for strategy, creative and buying. MMM sets the budget levels and allocation those partners then execute. The comparison pages linked above go deeper on each pairing.
