The honest read

Credit first: Sellforte is the real thing.

Helsinki-built, Bayesian, managed, and trusted by serious retailers. Of everyone on our compare pages, Sellforte overlaps most with what we do.

  • Causal Bayesian MMM with an experiments hub for geo lift and conversion lift tests
  • Daily refreshed results down to campaign and ad-set level
  • 500 plus data sources, with outputs written back to your warehouse
  • Enterprise retail logos: Lidl, C&A, Intersport, Douglas, Musti
The difference

Different questions, different platforms.

Sellforte's centre of gravity is daily media optimization for retail. Ours is the investment decision: how much to spend in total, where to put it, and what happens when conditions shift. Both are legitimate jobs. They are not the same job.

  • Budget size first: Odins models the total, then allocates it. Daily ROAS tuning assumes the total is already right
  • One model for offline media, online media and business drivers, cross-industry rather than retail-first
  • Monthly human-reviewed recommendations tie the model to a decision meeting, not a dashboard
  • Verification is the spine: forecasts are stored before reality arrives, and you can inspect the hit rate any time

Channel contribution, 80% ranges

from the posterior
Search 14 to 16% optimize
Social 9 to 13% optimize
Display 2 to 9% test first

A tight range is a decision. A wide range is a test plan, with cost boundaries.

The choice

Who should choose which.

Both platforms are Nordic, Bayesian and managed. Start from the decision you need to make this quarter.

Choose Sellforte if

  • You are an enterprise retailer or ecommerce brand and want daily campaign-level ROAS steering
  • You want agents executing bid and budget changes directly in Meta, Google and TikTok
  • Your team plans at campaign level weekly and wants measurement at that same cadence

Choose Odins if

  • The decision on the table is budget size and allocation for next quarter and next year
  • Offline media and business drivers need to sit in the same model as digital
  • You want a partner who sets priors with you and shows forecast against actuals every month

The honest overlap

A large Nordic retailer could be happy with either of us. If the whole question is retail media performance, Sellforte is a strong answer. When the question is the size and shape of the marketing investment, that is what Odins is built for.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Are Odins and Sellforte not the same thing?

We overlap more than most pairs on this site: both Nordic, both Bayesian, both managed. The difference is the core question. Sellforte optimizes media performance daily. Odins models marketing as an investment: total budget, allocation and scenarios, verified monthly.

Is Sellforte's daily cadence better than monthly?

For campaign steering, daily is genuinely useful. For investment decisions it matters less: budgets move monthly and quarterly, and a model retrained monthly with human review matches how those decisions are actually made. Pick the cadence of the decision, not the dashboard.

We are not a retailer. Does the difference matter?

Sellforte's verticals are retail, ecommerce, grocery, QSR, beauty and travel by their own description. Odins is cross-industry, with customers in ecommerce, financial services, automotive and home goods. In thin Nordic markets outside retail, disciplined priors carry more of the load, and that is where we have specialized.

Both claim experiments and calibration. What differs?

Little in principle: both fold experiment evidence into the model rather than reconciling parallel analyses. The difference is emphasis. We put the discipline into prior-setting before the model sees data: spend history, digital saturation signals and structured interviews. That is what keeps a single national time series stable.

Can Odins push changes into ad platforms like Sellforte's agents?

No, by design. Bidding belongs to Google's and Meta's algorithms, which see more real-time signal than any external model. Odins sets budget levels and allocation, and leaves in-channel execution to the platforms and your team.

How would we compare them in practice?

A pilot on your own data is the honest test: same channels, same period. Ask both vendors to show forecast against actuals, not just model fit. We are comfortable with that meeting.
