Server address
The same address for every client and every customer. Also shown in Odins under Settings and MCP setup.
Before you start
The Odins MCP gives ChatGPT access to your own model and data. ChatGPT reads from it. The data work, the model and the analyst review stay with Odins.
-
An Odins subscription with MCP switched on
MCP is enabled per organisation. If you are not sure, ask your Odins contact.
-
An Odins user for each person
Everyone who will ask questions needs their own Odins login with two-factor sign-in. Without one, the connection cannot complete.
-
A workspace admin, and a browser
On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu an admin or owner creates the app. Set it up on chatgpt.com in a browser: Developer mode is not available in the mobile apps. Once the app exists you can use it anywhere, mobile included.
What ChatGPT can and cannot do
ChatGPT sees only the data your Odins user can see; access follows the person, not the app. It never touches your ad accounts. Where your Odins role allows a change inside Odins, such as saving a budget, ChatGPT asks before it runs the tool.
For the workspace admin
Six steps, once per workspace. You need to be an admin or owner in ChatGPT. Members cannot add the app themselves.
-
Turn on Developer mode
Open ChatGPT in a browser, then Settings, Apps & connectors, and Advanced settings at the bottom of the page. Toggle Developer mode on.
-
Create the app
Back on Apps & connectors, click Create and paste the server address.
Server address
https://app.odins.ai/mcp -
Scan the tools
Press Scan tools, wait for the list to load, then Create.
-
Approve the sign-in
ChatGPT opens Odins. Sign in with your Odins user and grant access.
-
Publish to the workspace
Under Apps, open Drafts and publish. Until you do, it is a draft only you can see. On Enterprise and Edu you can pick which groups get it first.
-
Keep it findable
Check that Show in directory is on. Otherwise members cannot find the app.
OpenAI's guide to Developer mode and MCP apps. In a non-English ChatGPT the menu names may be translated.
For everyone else
If someone else set this up, do not create the app again. Turn it on for your own account.
-
Find Odins
Open ChatGPT, then Settings and Apps & connectors. Find Odins in the list, labelled custom, and turn it on.
-
Sign in
Sign in with your Odins account when prompted, and accept all the permissions.
-
Ask
In a new conversation, ask for example: how much do we need to spend to reach the Q4 target with 80% certainty?
The answers are the numbers the Odins platform computes, with an explanation of what they mean.
If it does not work
Most problems sit in the ChatGPT connection, not in the Odins user.
-
Odins is not in the list
Ask an admin or owner to publish the app. Until they do, only the person who created it can see it.
-
The app reports a missing permission, such as org.spend:read
Disconnect Odins under Settings and Apps, connect again in the browser at chatgpt.com, not the desktop app, and accept every permission the login asks for. If an admin set the app up centrally, it may need Scan tools run again.
-
Cannot connect, or MCP not enabled
MCP may not be switched on for your organisation yet. Ask your Odins contact.
-
Still stuck
Send a screenshot of the error to your Odins contact, and we check the connection from our side.
Questions
Can I use Odins from ChatGPT?
Yes. Odins runs an MCP server at https://app.odins.ai/mcp. A workspace admin adds it as an app in ChatGPT, each person signs in with their Odins user, and the team asks budget, allocation and scenario questions in the conversation. The answers are the numbers the Odins platform computes, with an explanation of what they mean.
What is the Odins MCP server address?
https://app.odins.ai/mcp, over HTTP with OAuth sign-in. The same address works for ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and any other assistant that supports MCP.
Which ChatGPT plans does it work with?
ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu, where a workspace admin creates the app and publishes it to the workspace. On another plan, ask your Odins contact.
Does it work in the ChatGPT desktop or mobile app?
Set it up on chatgpt.com in a browser. Developer mode is not available in the mobile apps. Once the app exists, you can use it in new conversations anywhere, including on mobile.
What does ChatGPT see?
Only what your Odins user can see: the organisations, markets and data your access allows. Every person connects with their own login, so access follows the person. ChatGPT reads from Odins when you ask it a question.
Does ChatGPT change anything in our ad accounts?
No. Odins recommends: how much to spend, where, and what to test. ChatGPT reads those answers. Acting on them stays with you. Where your Odins role allows a change inside Odins, such as saving a scenario or a budget, ChatGPT asks before it runs the tool.
Is the setup simpler in Claude?
Claude needs fewer steps: an administrator adds a custom connector and each person connects. See Odins in Claude. The address and the answers are the same.
