Odins vs Lifesight

Lifesight unifies MMM, incrementality testing and attribution under an agentic banner, and is rarely shy about comparisons. Here is ours: what they genuinely do well, and where the platforms differ underneath the interface.

The honest read

Credit first: Lifesight saw where the category is going.

Unified measurement with an AI interface is the right ambition, and Lifesight committed to it earlier than most. The breadth is real.

  • Full-breadth unified measurement: MMM, geo tests and attribution in one product
  • Geo-based incrementality testing is central to the product, not an add-on
  • An ambitious agentic layer: ask the platform and it answers with confidence intervals
  • Real scale in measured ad spend and a global customer base
The difference

Agents are the interface. The model is the product.

Lifesight leads with agents on top of unified measurement. Odins puts the weight underneath: one Bayesian model per market, disciplined priors, and a monthly verification you can inspect. Interfaces age fast. Model quality compounds.

  • One model, one answer: evidence from tests and attribution enters as priors instead of three methods reconciled in a dashboard
  • Priors set for thin Nordic markets: spend history, digital saturation signals and structured interviews
  • Offline media and business drivers modeled next to digital, not approximated
  • An agent's answer is only as good as the posterior behind it; ours shows its forecast hit rate every month

Channel contribution, 80% ranges

from the posterior
Search 14 to 16% optimize
Social 9 to 13% optimize
Display 2 to 9% test first

A tight range is a decision. A wide range is a test plan, with cost boundaries.

The choice

Who should choose which.

Both platforms model media and run tests. Judge the layer you will actually rely on: the model.

Choose Lifesight if

  • You are a global retail, DTC or travel brand wanting unified measurement plus agent execution
  • Geo-testing at scale is core to how you already work
  • Your media is over 5 million dollars and mostly digital, and in-platform execution appeals

Choose Odins if

  • You operate in Nordic or European markets where thin data makes priors decisive
  • Offline media and business drivers belong inside the model
  • You want verified forecasts and a person behind every recommendation

The honest overlap

On paper we overlap a lot: both model media, both use experiments, both answer in plain language. The test that separates us is a meeting: ask each vendor to open the model behind one recommendation, priors and verification included.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is causal MMM the same as Bayesian MMM?

Causal is a goal, Bayesian is a method. Lifesight describes causal MMM calibrated by experiments and does not state the inference approach publicly. Odins is Bayesian end to end, priors included, because that is what carries a thin national time series reliably.

Lifesight's agents can push changes to ad platforms. Why does Odins not?

Execution inside guardrails is a reasonable feature, and for some teams it is the point. We stop at budget levels deliberately: in-channel bidding is the platforms' game, run on more real-time signal than any external model sees. Odins decides how much goes where; Google and Meta decide the bids.

Their cases cite 95 percent accuracy. What does Odins deliver?

Steady state accuracy of 85 to 90 percent or better, with most customers above 90 percent within 6 to 12 months, and 80 to 85 in the early months while the model learns. The number to trust from any vendor is the one computed on forecasts stored before actuals arrive. That is how ours is computed, monthly, on every model.

We are a global brand with a Nordic arm. Who fits?

Group stacks favour global vendors, and that is fine. The Nordic arm still needs a model that understands one national time series, local offline media and local seasonality. That split, global reporting plus a local decision model, is common and works well.

Do we need incrementality tests to use Odins?

No, but they help. When you have test results, they enter the model as priors. Where the data cannot resolve a channel, we say so and propose a structured test rather than papering over the uncertainty.
