Credit first: OptiMine measures at fine grain.
OptiMine sells MMM as software with a full monthly retrain, and it takes measurement down to campaign and ad level without cookies or personal data. Gartner has recognized the work.
- Granular models that go from channel level down to campaigns and individual ads
- A monthly refresh with full model retraining, and an automated data pipeline behind it
- Named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Marketing Mix Modeling Solutions
- A flexible service model, from self-serve to strategist support, with a built-in experiment tool
One level up: the budget decision.
OptiMine's strength is measuring at fine grain, and its new home is next to Uptempo's planning software. Odins answers the question one level up: how much to spend in total and how to split it across channels and markets, with the model run for you and every recommendation reviewed by a person.
- One Bayesian model per market, with priors set with your team in 2 to 3 working sessions from spend history, digital saturation signals and structured interviews
- TV, radio, OOH and print in the same model as digital, next to pricing and promotions
- Forecasts stored before actuals arrive and checked at each retrain, so the model's record is open to inspect
- Data flows in daily and scenarios and forecasts are yours to run any time, in the platform or from Claude via the Odins MCP; only the retrain and the reviewed recommendation are monthly
Channel contribution, 80% ranges
from the posteriorA tight range is a decision. A wide range is a test plan, with cost boundaries.
The choice
Who should choose which.
Both model digital and traditional media and both run scenarios. The choice turns on the level you decide at and who runs the model.
Choose OptiMine if
- You want measurement down to campaigns and individual ads
- You already use Uptempo for planning and budgeting and want MMM from the same vendor
- Your team prefers to run the software itself, with consulting on call
Choose Odins if
- Your main question is budget size and allocation across channels and markets
- You want the model run for you, with a person reviewing every recommendation
- You sell in markets where one national weekly series makes priors decisive
The honest overlap
On paper we overlap a lot: both refresh the model on fresh data, both plan scenarios, both support experiments. The test that separates us is a meeting: ask each vendor to open the model behind one recommendation, with the priors, the saturation curve and how the last forecasts compared with actuals.
Frequently asked questions.
Is OptiMine still in business?
Yes, under new ownership. Uptempo, an enterprise marketing performance software company, announced its acquisition of OptiMine on 28 August 2025. In July 2026 Uptempo launched Uptempo Marketing Analytics, Powered by OptiMine, and said existing OptiMine customers stay on the OptiMine platform with uninterrupted access to granular models. The optimine.com site still presents the OptiMine products.
What is Uptempo Marketing Analytics?
It is OptiMine's MMM sold under the Uptempo name. Uptempo describes a tiered product: a channel-level entry tier built on the data a team already has, and OptiMine's full granular models for teams with more detailed data. It includes what-if scenarios, saturation curves and an experiment design tool.
Is OptiMine a Bayesian marketing mix model?
OptiMine does not state its statistical method publicly. Its materials describe granular MMM with saturation curves, without cookies or personal data, retrained in full each month. Odins is Bayesian end to end, with priors set with your team, which is what carries a market with one national weekly series.
How much does OptiMine cost?
OptiMine and Uptempo do not publish pricing. Uptempo says pricing is tiered and scales with model granularity. Odins is a subscription priced for the budget it optimizes, for companies with a marketing budget from EUR 1M to several hundred million a year, with the team included and no data science hires needed.
OptiMine measures down to individual ads. Why does Odins stop at channels?
Because the decision Odins is built for is budget size and allocation: how much to spend in total, and how much goes to each channel and market. Inside each platform, ad and bid decisions run on more real-time signal than any external model sees, so we leave bidding to Google and Meta. Platform data still informs the priors.
What are the best alternatives to OptiMine?
It depends on what you need from the model. We compared five options, with sources and who each one fits, on a separate page: the best OptiMine alternatives. Odins is on the list, and we say so up front.
