Odins vs Cassandra
Cassandra pairs Bayesian marketing mix modeling with geo tests and AI that can act in your ad accounts. Here is how it compares with Odins: what Cassandra genuinely does well, and where the two differ on priors, offline media and how a recommendation reaches your budget.

Credit first: Cassandra made MMM something a growth team runs.
Cassandra built measurement for the people who move the budget every week. Published pricing, geo tests in every plan and a loop from model to ad account are real strengths.
- Bayesian MMM calibrated with live geo tests, with the tests run in the same product
- Pricing published openly and tied to media spend, so a buyer can size the cost before the first call
- A closed loop: a budget plan applied in the ad accounts on approval, then checked against the plan seven days later
- A choice of service levels, from self-serve to a forward deployed marketer and a data scientist
The budget decision, modeled with what your team knows.
Cassandra leads with speed from model to ad account. Odins puts the weight on the budget decision: priors set with your team, offline media and business drivers inside one Bayesian model per market, and a person reviewing every recommendation before it reaches you.
- Priors set in 2 to 3 working sessions from your spend history, digital saturation signals and structured interviews, which matters most in markets with one national weekly series
- TV, radio, OOH and print in the same model as digital, next to pricing and promotions
- Every recommendation reviewed by a person before you see it, covering total budget size as well as the split between channels
- Data flows in daily, forecasts are stored before actuals arrive and checked at each monthly retrain, and scenarios and forecasts are yours to run any time, in the platform or from Claude via the Odins MCP
Channel contribution, 80% ranges
from the posteriorA tight range is a decision. A wide range is a test plan, with cost boundaries.
The choice
Who should choose which.
Both run Bayesian MMM and both use tests. The difference is where the work stops: inside your ad accounts, or at the budget decision.
Choose Cassandra if
- Your media is mostly digital and you want a plan applied in the ad accounts within days
- Running geo tests yourself is central to how your growth team works
- You want published, spend-based pricing and the option to start self-serve
Choose Odins if
- TV, radio, OOH or print carry real budget and belong inside the model with pricing and promotions
- You sell in markets where one national weekly series makes well-set priors decisive
- You want a person behind every recommendation and forecasts checked against actuals, with scenarios you run yourself any time
The honest overlap
We overlap more than the categories suggest: both are Bayesian, both use tests, both offer a managed option. Ask each vendor to open the model behind one recommendation and show how the priors were set and how the last forecasts held up.
Frequently asked questions.
Is Cassandra a marketing mix model?
Yes, among other things. Cassandra describes Bayesian marketing mix modeling calibrated with live tests, alongside attribution, ad management, creative production and reporting. Odins is a marketing investment platform built around one Bayesian model per market.
How much does Cassandra cost?
Cassandra publishes its pricing: 0.6% of annual media spend up to EUR 20M and 0.25% from EUR 20M to 50M, with plans from EUR 3,000 a month and a six-month minimum commitment on the standard plans, per its pricing page in October 2026. Odins is a subscription priced for the budget it optimizes, with the team included and no data science hires needed.
Cassandra can apply changes in our ad accounts. Why does Odins not?
Applying a plan on approval is useful, and for a team that moves budget every week it may be the main draw. Odins stops at budget size and the split between channels. Inside each channel, the platforms' bidding runs on more real-time signal than any outside model sees, so that part stays with Google, Meta and the rest.
Cassandra has a managed plan too. What is the difference?
The service model differs less than the labels suggest. The difference is in the model: Odins sets priors with your team in working sessions, puts offline media, pricing and promotions in the same model as digital, and stores forecasts before actuals arrive so the record can be checked at each retrain. A person reviews every recommendation before you see it.
Do we need geo tests to use Odins?
No. Results from lift and geo tests you have run are taken into the model. Where the data cannot settle a channel, we propose a structured test, often a pulse test, with the expected cost stated up front. That matters in smaller countries, where there are few regions to hold out.
What are the best alternatives to Cassandra?
It depends on where you want the work to stop. We compared five options, with sources and who each one fits, on a separate page: the best Cassandra alternatives. Odins is on the list, and we say so up front.
